Upright Heliconia Stems

Upright heliconia, sometimes called ‘lobster claws’, are a heavy, tall and bold flower. Red is the most common color and they also come in pink and yellow. The stems are thick and the large blooms have a natural, leathery feel. The blooms are actually bracts from which small flowers emerge, much like ginger.

Use the heliconia as a featured component of your Hawaiian flower arrangement. The tall size will focus attention.
